I grew up in a small family town in India where my family owned 20+ small businesses. That early exposure to finances and commerce shaped everything that followed. It's why building for Cash App and Square feels like destiny, not coincidence.

Today I lead cross-functional Android engineering at Block Inc., owning end-to-end architecture across POS, Square Online, and Cash App. I partner closely with Design, Product, and Backend teams, empowering designers to directly contribute to the Android codebase, resulting in 1,000+ PRs from the design team in 2026 alone.

I'm also deep into AI-native engineering, using Claude, Codex, and Goose to accelerate architectural drafting, code generation, and automated testing across the full development lifecycle.

Neighborhood Network & Cash App

  • Spearheaded cross-functional integration between Square's merchant and Cash App consumer ecosystems by partnering with Design and Product. Owned the end-to-end POS integration and developed the native food ordering listings and seamless checkout flows within Cash App (59M+ active users).
  • Developed a centralized merchant eligibility backend service orchestrating data across multiple core internal systems to power Voice Ordering, Cash App, and Square Dashboard features within the Neighborhood Network.

Square Online & POS

  • Owned the mobile architecture strategy for a multi-year, cross-org initiative integrating Square Online into Square POS, turning POS into a unified commerce surface where merchants in the US and Canada could launch and manage online stores directly from their hardware.
  • Partnered with Product, Design, and backend teams to launch POS-native onboarding and store management workflows that drove large-scale seller activation and helped grow Square Online to 250k+ active ecommerce stores.

Payment Links

  • Pioneered foundational engineering and global launch of Payment Links within POS, delivering a critical card-not-present payment solution contributing billions in GPV across Square's global merchant ecosystem.
  • Built the authentication layer between Square and Weebly and implemented native QR code printing infrastructure, delivering a high-impact, revenue-critical solution under accelerated timelines that kept businesses operational during the pandemic.

Technical Leadership

  • Built 0 to 1 features using AI-native workflows, accelerating delivery from design specs to production by leveraging GPT-5.3-Codex and Claude for architectural drafting and automated tests.
  • Owned team-level engineering OKRs, aligning quarterly technical initiatives with company objectives.

DESIGN PASSION

I build design, not just code.

Product craft matters to me deeply. I care about motion, hierarchy, rhythm, component systems, and how an experience feels in the hand, not just whether it compiles.

I care about the full product experience.

Engineering and design are not separate disciplines for me. They are one continuous conversation. I like designing flows in Figma, thinking through motion and visual hierarchy, and then carrying that same intent all the way into production-quality Android code.

That shows up in how I build: I think in systems, component reuse, transitions, micro-interactions, spacing, and the emotional feel of the product. I do not see design as a handoff artifact. I see it as part of the implementation.

At Block, I pushed this further by helping designers contribute directly to the Android codebase. That removed friction between concept and shipped experience, and in 2026 alone the design team contributed more than 2,000 pull requests.

Leadership, to me, is creating momentum for others.

I care a lot about how teams feel while they are building. The strongest work I have been part of came from environments where people could pair openly, ask basic questions safely, and genuinely enjoy solving hard problems together.

My version of leadership is practical. I mentor engineers and students, help teams make architectural decisions, own OKRs when alignment is needed, and create space for design, product, and engineering to move as one unit instead of three separate lanes.

That has meant mentoring 10+ engineers and college students, helping designers contribute directly through code, and building Hack Week prototypes that gave the broader organization something concrete to rally around. I want colleagues to feel supported, capable, and excited to build together.
